Creston, Louisiana
November 26 – 28, 2021
Chairman Mike Cheramie and three other veterans joined fellow veteran Landon Weaver and his family in Creston, Louisiana. Special thanks to Landon for paying it forward and making this and several other events possible.
The 2nd Annual Weaver Family Deer Hunt is one for the books. This weekend was an absolute mad adventure of brotherhood and another milestone on the long road of recovery. This hunt was not measured in the game killed; it was measured in how much it helped each member of WWH. We all needed this and it was timed perfectly.
We ate way too much, told too many big tales, laughed too much and had more fun than a man should have in a couple of days.
I can’t thank Pawpaw, Mawmaw and the entire Weaver family, and the local community enough. They opened their homes, land and hearts to us. As always, each one of us leaves a better person thanks to everyone involved in this hunt.
The gears are already turning for the hunt next year, and it’s going to be EPIC! This hunt is going to turn into something larger that is going to benefit not only our veterans, but the local community.
