Lafitte, Louisiana

November 10 – 12, 2021

Veteran’s Day, November 10th, Mike Cheramie and five other veterans headed out to Lafitte to join Dr. Nick Rauber of Swollfest and Jean Lafitte Fishing Charters.

We can’t thank Swollfest enough for this fishing trip. Members of WWH were treated to two days of fishing in Lafitte, Louisiana, to include world class accommodations, fantastic food and the company of some of the best people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.

Swollfest is a Louisiana non-profit. Swollfest takes children and armed service veterans on outdoor experiences of a lifetime. Not only do they do this, but they give generously to our local Louisiana community. They have an annual fishing rodeo that is one of the best family oriented fishing rodeos in Louisiana. Please look them up and support them! They are just amazing people with an amazing mission. 

We are proud to have shared a great time with the guys from Swollfest, can’t wait to see what the future brings with the friendship between two GREAT Louisiana non-profits. Louisiana strong.
