3rd Annual
Wounded War Heroes Grand Isle Offshore Rodeo 2019
The offshore fishing rodeo is for veterans sponsored by WWH and our many supporters held at Bridge Side Marina in Grand Isle, LA. Fifty injured veterans will arrive Thursday, June 28th to meet their captains and camp owners. Twenty-five boat captains and many camp owners come together to make this event possible for our veterans. They will be fishing Friday and Saturday, June 27th through the the 30th respectfully, to compete in 8 fish categories. Only the veterans are allowed to enter fish into the rodeo. All the fish caught will be cleaned and each veteran will leave with an ice chest of cleaned fish.
This is a 2-day fishing rodeo meaning that some of the bigger boats can and will stay offshore overnight. For most of our members, that’s a trip beyond their means. For some, it’s a trip of a lifetime.
Each night everyone including veterans, captains, camp owners and sponsors will come to together for a meal donated by even more Wounded War Heroes supporters. So, as you can see, without the support of the community, WWH couldn’t pull off this event. We thank you for your support.
