We received this great report from veteran David Lambert who participated in our recent WWH Black Buck Hunt…
“Working in the oilfield I spend a lot of time away from my family and friends. I routinely miss teeball games, birthdays, and holidays. When I am home it’s important to me to spend time with my family. When Wounded War Heroes invited me on a hunt to Weitz Ranch in Texas I was excited that my schedule was going to allow me to make it. However my 8 year old son was disappointed that I wasn’t going to spend my only weekend in town with him. I was torn between spending time outdoors with my Veteran brothers and spending time with my son. When I brought this issue up to WWH, Mr. Dickie Robichaux, said “you come to this hunt and you bring your son with you, if I have to give you a place to sleep I’ll do it myself”. It’s this type of service to Veterans that separates WWH from other nonprofits, they truly care about every Veteran’s personal circumstances. Needless to say the experience was amazing, Mr. Doyle Weitz was extremely gracious and ensured me and my Marine brothers all had successful hunts. I made memories with my son Asa, that will last our lifetime! Thanks WWH. – David”
Thanks David! We are glad it worked out and you had a great time on the hunt.
