The 13th Annual Wounded War Heroes Toledo Bend Bass Tournament took place from March 4th to 6th, bringing together 30 captains and 30 veterans for a memorable event. The tournament not only showcased the skill and camaraderie of the participants but also highlighted the generous support of the WWH community. 1st Place and Big Bass was won by Veteran Bradley Manasicus and Captain Mike Pyle, 2nd place was won by Veteran Chuck Charmie and Captain Steve Bellon!
Special thanks to Toledo Bend Oilman’s for hosting a Monday night steak dinner, Barksdale Federal Credit Union for providing a Tuesday night fried fish meal, and Westside Bassmaster’s for their Wednesday night feast of jambalaya and white beans.
Additionally, special thanks to Lionel Stein and his daughter Lauren Stein from Stein’s Top Notch Catering, along with their dedicated team, for preparing breakfast and assisting in kitchen duties.
The event wouldn’t have been possible without the hospitality and support of Wildwood Resort, whose facilities welcomed the participants with open arms. Through such collective efforts, the event not only honored the veterans and gave them the oppourtunity to form lifelong bonds, but also underscored the spirit of community and gratitude.
